Try Hard: Curated Coffee and Vinyl Subscription

I love this idea. I used to subscribe to Turntable Kitchen's coffee and vinyl pairing, but have just never been one to play 45s. Austin's Try Hard Coffee Roasters is offering a similar subscription service, but focusing on albums as opposed to singles. I love that idea even more!

What's included in their monthly subscription? Exclusive first pressings: limited edition album artwork and small runs of each album. Drink Coffee the way the band does: the coffee received with your album is sourced and roasted with each band. An all-access pass to the recording process: artist interviews, photography, and video footage before your album hits your doorstep. Limited Edition Merch: you'll receive prints and surprises from the band with every box set. Straight from Austin: local bands recorded in their hometown.

Sounds good, right? How does $60 for an album and a bag of coffee beans sound? $144 for 3? They lost me at this point. It's going to take a release from Spoon, The Black Angels, Ringo Deathstarr, or The Sword before I'll fork over that kind of cash. I signed up for their newsletter and plan to keep a close eye on this as it's definitely of interest when the pairing is of interest.
